Cubes in Space is a competitive program, teams are required to submit an application. Only complete and high quality proposals will be invited to fly. In the event that the team is not selected for Cubes in Space participation, Space Academy has arranged an alternative short-duration high altitude balloon launched in Colorado, which is guaranteed.
Inventa Academy's founder has two decades of experience performing scientific research, teaching, training, and mentoring students of all ages. She has a passion for facilitating meaningful STEM programs. She has mentored teams of students successfully developing and flying high altitude balloon payloads for the past 3 years.
An engineering student (TBD) will be hired to support the program on a regular basis.
In addition, UCCS Professors will visit us to share their expertise and help students troubleshoot.
We have partnered with the Mobile Earth + Space Observatory (MESO) to deliver relevant content on planetary science, astrophysics, instrumentation, optics and rocketry.
MESO is a “science center on wheels” to engage and excite students, teachers, and local residents with hands-on educational and research activities focused on earth and space sciences, renewable energy, and scientific instrumentation.
