Sessions will be held once a week on Fridays from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. The program is a complete learning and skill-building journey that will span one academic year plus optional classes during the summer.
Academic year sessions will start on September 5, 2025 and will end in May 1, 2026. Summer sessions will be held from May 22 to August 7, 2026. The launches for both the sounding rocket and the high-altitude balloon will happen in June and August of 2026, respectively.
Cubes in Space is a competitive program, teams are required to submit an application. Only complete and high quality proposals will be invited to fly. In the event that the team is not selected for Cubes in Space participation, Space Academy has arranged an alternative short-duration high altitude balloon launched in Colorado.
