About Us

Inventa Academy was established in 2018 as a nonprofit organization with the goal of launching Inventa Academy Charter School in Colorado Springs. A group of parents, professors, educators, veterans and community members came together to design a student-centered learning community that highly values the human potential and the well-being of students and staff members. Our proposed educational program was built upon 3 pillars:  connecting children to the world around them through Expeditionary Learning, immersion in two languages, and the development of social, emotional and cognitive skills.

Our Charter School Application was submitted to Colorado Springs School District 11 in 2020 and was well received. Unfortunately we couldn't move forward with the final authorization steps due to a Covid-19-related enrollment loss.

To nurture children as independent learners, curious explorers, self-motivated inventors, creative thinkers, ethical leaders and skilled future workforce capable of contributing to the advancement of the community and the world.

Mission Statement

To provide a learning environment that nurtures happiness, creativity, innovation, character and skills alongside with self-motivated pursuit of knowledge through expeditionary learning and civic engagement.

Since 2018 Inventa Academy has been active in the community offering hands-on STEM activities for students of all ages. We have participated in events like Cool Science Carnival Day at UCCS, What If Festival of Innovation & Imagination in downtown Colorado Springs, Mini Maker Faire at PPLD Library 21c, Science Homeschool Program at PPLD East, National Summer Learning Day, plus our very own Summer Camp in 2021.
